Hot to Get Tier II/Fine Weapons and Armor in Avowed

Author : Nora Update : Feb 23,2025

In Avowed, upgrading your weaponry is crucial for survival. Early game encounters feature Common (Level I) weapons and enemies, but the difficulty quickly escalates to Level II, demanding superior Fine (Tier II) equipment. This guide details how to obtain and improve your gear.

Upgrading Weapons and Armor from Common (I) to Fine (II)

While some Fine (II) gear can be found or purchased, most requires upgrading. Avowed uses a dual-tiered system: Quality (indicated by descriptor, color, and Roman numeral) and Enhancement Levels (+1 to +3). Common (I) gear is green, Fine (II) is blue.

To upgrade to Fine (II), you must first reach +3 enhancement level at a Party Camp workbench. Each enhancement level requires specific materials. The final upgrade to Fine (II) necessitates Adra, a rare crystal obtained through quests, merchant purchases, or dismantling Unique items.

Upgrading consumes significant resources. Alternatively, you can find some Fine (II) gear early in Dawnshore, though it's uncommon. Level II enemies, particularly Bounties, sometimes drop Fine (II) equipment. However, Common (I) gear is ineffective against Level II foes, so carry ample health potions.

Paradis merchants offer Fine (II) items after completing the early Main Quest (defeating the Dreamscourge bear). Twin sisters operate adjacent stalls: Merlylin sells magical items (grimoires, wands), while her blacksmith sister sells standard weapons and armor (pictured above).

This comprehensive guide should equip you to acquire and enhance your Fine (II) weapons and armor in Avowed.
