Konami producer Noriaki Okamura, in a recent IGN interview, subtly acknowledged the strong fan desire for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (MGS4) on modern consoles. While avoiding concrete confirmation, Okamura's comments regarding Master Collection Vol. 1 (containing MGS 1-3) and the series' future strongly suggest MGS4's inclusion in Vol. 2. He stated, "We definitely are aware of this situation with MGS4... you can probably connect the dots!"

The PS3 exclusive's potential inclusion in Master Collection Vol. 2 has been a long-standing fan hope. The success of Vol. 1, bringing remastered versions to PS5, Xbox, PC, and Switch, further fuels this speculation.

Further fueling the rumors, placeholder buttons for MGS4, MGS5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker appeared on Konami's official timeline, hinting at their potential inclusion in Vol. 2. David Hayter, the English voice of Solid Snake, also added to the excitement with a cryptic social media post last November, suggesting his involvement in an MGS4-related project.

Despite the mounting evidence, Konami remains officially silent on the contents of Master Collection Vol. 2, leaving fans eagerly awaiting an official announcement regarding the highly anticipated MGS4 remake or port.
