News
Partner/Indie World Showcase Delivers a Bounty of Games
Nintendo's decision to combine two smaller showcases proved effective, resulting in a flurry of announcements. Highlights include several surprise releases (detailed below), Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the Suikoden I & II remasters, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, new Atelier and Rune Factory titles, and much more. I strongly recommend watching the full video; it's well worth your time.
Select New Releases
Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)
A fantastic surprise! This third Castlevania compilation features the three Nintendo DS titles: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also includes the notoriously bad arcade game, Haunted Castle, alongside an M2-developed remake that significantly improves upon the original. The emulation is superb, offering a comprehensive and high-quality experience. An incredible value for the price.
Pizza Tower ($19.99)
This Wario Land-inspired platformer is a whirlwind of frantic action. Conquer the five massive floors of the Pizza Tower to save your restaurant. Fans of Wario's handheld adventures will adore this, but even those without a strong Wario connection should find the challenging platforming engaging. A review is planned.
Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)
Another surprise release! It's Goat Simulator 3. You know the drill. Performance on the Switch is uncertain, as even more powerful systems have experienced issues. Proceed with caution, although poor performance might ironically enhance the game's chaotic charm. Ultimately, it's up to you. Silly goats, silly antics, and an open world – your Switch might (or might not) survive.
Peglin ($19.99)
EA's decision to omit PopCap games from the Switch is a missed opportunity. Thankfully, Peglin fills the Peggle-shaped void. This mobile hit shines on the Switch, blending Peggle mechanics with roguelite RPG elements. A review is forthcoming.
Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)
Kairosoft's familiar shop sim formula gets a Doraemon makeover. The popular manga and anime characters are well-integrated, and fans might even spot cameos from the artist's other works. A charming addition.
Pico Park 2 ($8.99)
More Pico Park for existing fans. Up to eight players can enjoy local or online multiplayer in this cooperative puzzle game. A solid sequel, but unlikely to attract new players.
Kamitsubaki City Ensemble ($3.99)
An affordable rhythm game featuring Kamitsubaki Studio's music. Simple, but enjoyable for the price.
SokoPenguin ($4.99)
A Sokoban-style puzzle game with a penguin twist. One hundred levels of crate-pushing fun.
Q2 Humanity ($6.80)
Over three hundred quirky physics-based puzzles. Utilize character abilities and drawing mechanics to solve problems. Supports up to four players locally or online.
