Prepare for an exciting journey! The Pokémon Company International is thrilled to announce "Pokémon: Trainer Tour," a new reality show premiering globally on Prime Video and the Roku Channel on July 31st.
Hosts Meghan Camarena (Strawburry17) and Andrew Mahone (Tricky Gym) will travel across the country in a Pikachu-themed bus, meeting and mentoring aspiring Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) players. They’ll connect with passionate fans from all backgrounds, sharing their stories and love for the Pokémon TCG and the broader Pokémon brand.
Andy Gose, Senior Director of Media Production at The Pokémon Company International, stated that this show is a groundbreaking venture for the company, highlighting the incredible diversity within the Pokémon fanbase. He emphasized the show's focus on the connections fostered by the Pokémon TCG.
Since its 1996 debut, the Pokémon TCG has captivated millions worldwide. Nearly thirty years later, it remains a global phenomenon with a passionate community and a competitive scene that continues to thrive.
"Pokémon: Trainer Tour" celebrates the game and its players, offering viewers a glimpse into the unique experiences and inspiring stories of the diverse individuals who make up the Pokémon community.
All eight episodes of "Pokémon: Trainer Tour" will be available on Prime Video and the Roku Channel starting July 31st. The first episode will also be accessible on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
