PUBG Mobile Open Kicks Off with 100,000 Players

• The PMGO Open Qualifiers are now live.
• A $500,000 prize pool is up for grabs.

The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has officially begun, with over 90,000 participants registered for the first international PUBG Mobile Esports tournament of the year. The Open Qualifiers started on February 13th, offering new players a pathway to advance and compete for a spot in the PMGO Main Event. 

With a $500,000 prize pool at stake, teams must demonstrate their skills through multiple qualification stages before facing off against established PUBG Mobile Esports organizations. Since the tournament is exclusively for amateurs, it gives rising talent a dedicated platform to shine.

Squads featuring at least one player who achieved the Ultimate 500 rank in Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already secured a direct berth into Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. In the coming weeks, up-and-coming teams will compete for a position in the PMGO Prelims, where they will meet the leading teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers. 

From there, twelve teams will earn the chance to take on PUBG Mobile's elite professional players in the PMGO Main Event. For the main event, four professional teams have already qualified based on their performance in the 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC).

Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage have confirmed their participation, while four additional teams will qualify through various regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers will conclude on March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th and 11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th and 13th. This tournament kicks off a packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC also returning later in 2025.
