Stunning Action Game, Tides of Annihilation, Announced

Inspired by the Arthurian legends, Tides of Annihilation casts players as Gwendolyn, a young woman who must team up with spectral knights to rescue her family and mend a fractured world.

The game unfolds in a ravaged, modern-day London, overrun by a mysterious otherworldly invasion. Players will battle hordes of enemies alongside their ghostly companions, facing colossal, roaming knight-like creatures as the primary antagonists. Combat involves intense close-quarters battles, often requiring players to scale and engage these massive foes directly.

While visually impressive, the game's narrative currently lacks a compelling hook. Recent successful Souls-like titles have successfully reimagined lesser-known stories like Journey to the West and Pinocchio (in Lies of P), offering fresh perspectives. However, Tides of Annihilation's King Arthur-inspired storyline feels somewhat over-trodden, preventing it from standing out despite its visual appeal.
