War Thunder Mobile Soars into Aircraft Open Beta with Feature Expansion
War Thunder Mobile's open beta for air battles is officially live! Gaijin Entertainment delivers intense aerial combat with this update, featuring over 100 planes from three nations—with more to come.
While the game previously included aircraft in naval and ground support roles, this open beta introduces a complete aerial tech tree and a dedicated air combat mode.
Dive into the Air Battle Open Beta!
Currently, players can pilot planes from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including iconic aircraft like the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. Further nations will be added soon.
Players can specialize in one nation's tech tree or diversify their fleet. Top-tier aircraft can be acquired through blueprints earned in in-game events, with the first event starting early October.
The open beta includes a new Aviation campaign, allowing players to manage their aircraft hangar, research tech trees, and upgrade crews. Squadrons can be formed with up to four aircraft, customizable with various armaments. See the trailer below for a sneak peek!
Understanding the Aircraft Hangar -------------------------------------The aircraft hangar serves as the central hub between battles. Here, players can manage vehicles, select camouflage, explore the tech tree, and invite friends to their squadron.
Each aircraft slot offers three options: swapping vehicles, modifying armaments, or upgrading the assigned crew. Squadrons can be composed of any aircraft, regardless of class, nation, or rank.
With a wealth of new features, War Thunder Mobile's aircraft open beta is a must-try. Download the game from the Google Play Store and take to the skies!
