Application Description

A free, open-source camera application for Android.

Open Camera is a fully-featured, completely free camera app. Here are its key features:

* Auto-leveling feature to keep your horizons perfectly straight in every shot.

* Unlocks your device's camera capabilities: supports various scene modes, color effects, white balance, ISO, exposure compensation/lock, a selfie mode with "screen flash," HD video recording, and more.

* Convenient remote controls: timer (with an optional voice countdown) and auto-repeat mode (with configurable delays).

* Capture photos remotely using a sound trigger (noise).

* Configurable volume key functions and a customizable user interface.

* Upside-down preview for use with attachable external lenses.

* Overlays for grids and crop guides to assist with composition.

* Optional GPS geotagging for photos and videos; photos also include compass direction data (GPSImgDirection, GPSImgDirectionRef).

* Stamp photos with date, time, location coordinates, or custom text; embed date/time and location as video subtitles (.SRT files).

* Option to strip EXIF metadata from photos for privacy.

* Panorama mode, available for both front and rear cameras.

* Support for HDR (with auto-alignment and ghost removal) and Exposure Bracketing.

* Support for Camera2 API: manual controls (with optional focus assist); burst mode; RAW (DNG) file capture; camera vendor extensions; slow-motion video; log profile video.

* Noise reduction modes (including a dedicated low-light night mode) and Dynamic Range Optimization.

* On-screen tools like a live histogram, zebra stripes, and focus peaking.

* Focus bracketing mode for extended depth of field.

* Completely free with no third-party ads in the app (ads are only shown on the project website). Fully open-source.
