Tarneeb is a card game played by two teams, each consisting of two players sitting opposite each other. The game uses a standard 52-card deck, and play proceeds counter-clockwise. The objective for each player is to accurately estimate the number of "Allmat" (points) their team can obtain in each round.

The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" initiates a "paper throwing" phase. They throw a type of paper onto the floor, and other players must throw the same type of paper. The player who throws the matching paper last wins this phase ("Bamh"). If a player doesn't have a matching paper, they get to choose the next "Tarneeb" paper. "Tarneeb" papers are considered superior to all other papers; the last player to throw a "Tarneeb" paper wins unless a stronger "Tarneeb" paper is subsequently thrown.

The round concludes when all players have played their hands. Point scoring depends on the bidding team's success in achieving their targeted "Allmat" count. If they meet or exceed their target, they gain those points; the opposing team receives nothing. If they fail, their points are deducted, and the opposing team receives the "Allmat" points they obtained.

If a team achieves 13 "Allmat" without bidding for 13, they gain 16 points. Achieving a bid of 13 yields 26 points. Conversely, failing to achieve a bid of 13 results in a 16-point deduction.

The game ends when one team reaches a total score of 41 or more points. That team is declared the winner.
