Pokémon TCG Shatters World Record with Epic 24-Hour Card Opening Marathon!

The Pokémon Company International has achieved a remarkable feat, setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest Pokémon TCG card unboxing livestream! This record-breaking event, held on November 26, 2024, celebrated the launch of the Scarlet & Violet - Surging Sparks expansion.

A 24-Hour Unboxing Extravaganza

The livestream, broadcast on Pokémon's official Twitch channel, featured popular online personalities Joe Merrick (Serebii), PokeGirl Ranch, and Mayplaystv. Over the course of 24 hours, this dynamic trio opened over 1,500 booster packs and other Pokémon products, amassing an estimated 20,000+ cards – a truly impressive accomplishment!

Peter Murphy, Senior Director of Marketing at The Pokémon Company International, expressed his enthusiasm: "It's been an incredible 24 hours of pack opening, and we're thrilled to have achieved this ambitious Guinness World Records title with such a fantastic team of content creators."

The celebration continues! The Pokémon Company announced plans for additional product giveaways on the participating creators' channels within the next two weeks. The impressive collection of cards amassed during the livestream will be donated to charities, including Barnardo’s in the UK, in time for the holidays.
