The Last of Us Will Probably Run for 4 Seasons, HBO Exec Says
HBO's critically acclaimed The Last of Us series is slated for a four-season run, according to an executive.
Francesca Orsi, an HBO executive, hinted at a four-season arc for the popular adaptation, emphasizing that while there's no finalized plan, "it's looking like" three additional seasons beyond the current one. Orsi stated to Deadline, "I wouldn't want to confirm that, but it's looking like this season and then two more seasons after this, and we're done."
Regarding the anticipated Season 2 premiere in April 2025, Orsi teased, "There are certain elements, in terms of the various factions competing for survival, that reveal themselves as a really intriguing survivalist group. They have a distinct quality, a different presentation." She added, "The wardrobe and makeup feel really different from the average person."
