Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!
Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, where you'll encounter the delightful debut of Applin. Whether you're a collector of new Pokémon or on the hunt for shiny variants, this event is not to be missed. Let's dive into all the exciting details you need to know.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
Mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and continues until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. The highlight of this event is the long-awaited arrival of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. If you're aiming for Appletun, you'll need the same number of candies along with 20 Sweet Apples. For its final evolution into Dipplin and eventually Hydrapple, follow the same candy requirements with the respective Apples.
Speaking of Apples, they're crucial for evolution and can be found in the wild. Tapping on them could reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering these Apples increase around Mossy Lure Modules, so make sure to use them strategically.
Did You Know?
Applin is unique because it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to hide from bird Pokémon, its natural predators. This adorable Pokémon is one of the cutest additions to the Pokémon GO roster.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can snag some new avatar items from the in-game shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Additionally, enjoy the event bonus of 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, making it the perfect time to level up your team.
Keep an eye out for Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet, as there's an increased chance of encountering them in the wild. Furthermore, your odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs are also boosted during the event.
A sweet touch to the event is the increased berry drops from catching Delibird or Skwovet. So, if you haven't already, download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and prepare for a fruitful adventure.
