ARK: Survival Ascended Unveils 2-Year Roadmap
If you're a fan of ARK: Survival Ascended, you'll be thrilled to hear about the studio's updated content roadmap stretching all the way to late 2026. The game's remaster is set to embrace Unreal Engine 5, introducing fresh maps and a host of exciting features over the next couple of years.
In March 2025, the game will transition to Unreal Engine 5.5, promising notable performance enhancements. During this period, support for Nvidia’s frame generation will also return, resolving earlier engine-related issues. April 2025 brings a free update featuring Ragnarok Ascended, the Bison (a free creature), and a Fantastic Tame.
June 2025 marks the introduction of a new premium map, with details to be revealed closer to release. August 2025 will see the arrival of Valguero Ascended, along with a community-selected free creature and another Fantastic Tame.
Looking ahead to 2026, the focus shifts to remastering the original ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. In April, Genesis Ascended Part 1 and Bob's True Tales Part 1 will be released. Four months later, Part 2 of both will follow suit. The year wraps up in December with Fjordur Ascended, another community-chosen free creature, and three additional Fantastic Tames spread across the year.
Studio Wildcard's efforts also include restructuring the game's data to enable individual DLC downloads, making the install size more manageable. This strategic roadmap ensures continuous updates and exciting additions for players, keeping the experience fresh and engaging well into 2026.
