Fortnite players eagerly awaited the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077 items, and the crossover finally arrived to much fanfare. However, the absence of the male version of protagonist V left some fans puzzled. Speculation ran rampant, with theories comparing CD Projekt Red's marketing strategies. The truth, however, is far less complex.

Patrick Mills, Cyberpunk 2077's loremaster and the decision-maker, explained the omission. The bundle was designed for only two characters, one of which had to be Johnny Silverhand. This left no space for both male and female versions of V. With Johnny being male, selecting the female V was a logical choice, further influenced by Mills' personal preference.
