State of Decay 3 is unlikely to come out before 2026

Undead Labs, the game's developers, initially aimed for a 2025 launch, but this timeline appears to have shifted. Corden assures fans that development is significantly more advanced than previously perceived, although specifics remain undisclosed.

While this news may disappoint some, it's a more positive outlook than earlier predictions suggesting a 2027 release. The June 2024 trailer offered a glimpse into the game's Mad Max-inspired post-apocalyptic setting, featuring intense zombie gunfights and vehicular combat.

State of Decay 3, set years after the initial apocalypse, centers around human survivors establishing and defending settlements against the undead hordes. The game is slated for release on PC and Xbox Series consoles, a considerable time after its predecessor launched in 2018.
