Locate Kyoto, the central city, and find Honpoji Temple on its east side. From there, move west to find Merchant Tamao hiding in his brewery. Eavesdrop on his staff to learn he's refusing to come out. Attract his attention by smashing the barrels in the courtyard, prompting him to emerge and confront you. Deal with him accordingly and move to the next target.

Merchant Kanta

As you delve deeper into the Iron Hand questline, you'll discover that not all merchants are willingly part of the syndicate. Merchant Kanta is one such example, found in the Mouth of Seta in the Omi region. You can opt to attack him or use the Observe mechanic to uncover crucial information proving that Kanta is coerced into working for the guild. Spare his life, and he'll become a captain in Imai Sokun's merchant fleet.

Merchant Ginroku

Merchant Kin-no-suke

Kin-no-suke's ostentatious displays of wealth are suspicious, particularly since he hires bandits to steal from others to boost his business. This warrants an investigation by Naoe and Yasuke. Head to the city of Obama in Wakasa, and locate him just east of the Trading Port. He's surrounded by bodyguards, so handle them as you see fit. A quick smoke bomb and assassinations can efficiently neutralize them, ensuring Kin-no-suke's demise.

Iron Hand

Finally, you'll confront the leader of the syndicate, the Iron Hand himself, located in a heavily fortified area. Prepare for a challenging battle to reach him. He's situated in Tamba, specifically at Fukuchiyama Castle, near the region's center. As you infiltrate the castle, focus on the south side of the walls to locate the Iron Hand. He's more formidable than the other members, and the castle is teeming with guards. It's wise to take out the guards discreetly before facing the Iron Hand. Once you've defeated him, return to Imai Sokun to claim your rewards.
