Divinity: Original Sin 2 - How To Get The Ship Moving
Mastering the Lady Vengeance: A Divinity: Original Sin 2 Guide to Unlocking the Ship
Having escaped Fort Joy and removed your Source collar, your journey continues aboard the Elven ship, Lady Vengeance. Getting this ship underway isn't a simple matter of turning a wheel; it requires solving a unique puzzle. This guide will walk you through the steps.
Investigating the Ship's Deck:
Begin by thoroughly exploring the ship's deck. Examine the bodies of the fallen magisters and gheists. A Sodden Diary, found on one of the bodies, contains a password crucial for accessing a stateroom. You can also attempt a skill check with the northern stateroom door to obtain the password. Additionally, locate a Strange Gem; this is essential for interacting with a specific stateroom door. A magic mirror nearby allows for respeccing characters, useful if you need to boost skills for a successful password check.
Accessing the Portside Stateroom:
Use the password from the diary (and the Strange Gem) to unlock the portside stateroom door. Before doing so, interact with the unconscious Bishop Alexander to find a Strange Gem. Use this gem and the password ("Fortitude") to open the door. Inside, you'll find Magister Dallis' cabin, a hidden hatch containing dangerous gheists, and a Teleportation Prism.
Finding the Ancient Empire Songbook:
Inside Dallis' cabin, speak to Tarquin and exhaust all dialogue options with Dallis. Locate the Ancient Empire Songbook on the pedestal. Reading it will reveal the song needed to awaken the ship. Remember to speak to all NPCs before proceeding, as this opportunity is lost once the ship sets sail.
Setting Sail:
Return to the deck and speak to Malady. After informing her of the songbook, she'll ask you to sing to the ship. Find the dragon figurine to the west and choose the option to sing the song. Lady Vengeance will respond, and your journey continues. Be prepared for a challenging battle immediately afterward, so ensure your party is adequately prepared.
