In Civilization 7 - VR, the immersive world of Civilization comes to life in a way never seen before. The game's map unfolds on a Command Table, allowing players to view the world from above or delve into the intricate details of buildings and units, akin to a dynamic tabletop game. Players will guide their civilizations through history, engaging directly with iconic world leaders around the Command Table, witnessing their reactions as alliances are formed or wars are declared through the Ages.

Civilization 7 - VR offers the flexibility to switch between immersive virtual reality and mixed reality at any time. In virtual reality, players find themselves in an opulent museum, overlooking a vista tailored to their chosen leader. In mixed reality, the Command Table seamlessly integrates into the player's physical environment. The Archives, a special museum room, showcases detailed dioramas of your gameplay achievements, viewable in both virtual and mixed realities. Beyond single-player, Civilization 7 - VR allows up to four players on Meta Quest 3 and 3S to compete in online multiplayer matches, vying for global domination.

Meanwhile, the base version of *Civilization 7* is currently accessible on PC and consoles for those who opted for advanced access. The community has been vocal on Steam, pointing out issues such as a clunky user interface, limited map variety, and the absence of expected features. Firaxis has actively responded to this feedback, committing to enhancements in the UI, introducing team-based co-operative play in multiplayer, and expanding the range of map types.

In a recent interview with IGN before the third quarter financial results were released, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick acknowledged the mixed reviews from both critics and players. However, he remains optimistic, believing that the "legacy Civ audience" will warm up to *Civilization 7* as they spend more time with the game, describing its initial performance as "very encouraging."
