Forza Horizon 5 Drifts Onto PS5 in April

Author : Gabriel Update : Mar 21,2025

Forza Horizon 5 speeds onto PlayStation 5 this spring, with a confirmed release date of April 25th for Premium Edition owners ($99.99) and April 29th for everyone else. This announcement, made today on the official website, also revealed a significant update launching across all platforms on April 25th. Dubbed "Horizon Realms," this update boasts four new cars, a revamped Horizon Stadium racetrack layout, and a nostalgic selection of community-favorite environments from previous games.

PlayStation 5 players can expect the full Forza Horizon 5 experience, mirroring the content available on Xbox and PC. This includes all Car Packs and expansions, such as Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure.

Forza Horizon 5 joins Sea of Thieves and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny as Xbox exclusives making the leap to PlayStation. This move reflects a growing industry conversation about the viability of platform exclusivity, particularly considering the soaring costs of game development and the potential for limited sales.

IGN awarded Forza Horizon 5 a perfect 10/10 upon its Xbox/PC release, praising it as "the result of a racing studio at the peak of its craft and the best open-world racing game I’ve ever played." PlayStation owners are highly encouraged to experience this critically acclaimed title.
