How To Get the Free Dogwood Village Bow Early in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving you under-equipped. Fortunately, you can acquire the Dogwood Village Bow early and without spending a groat. This guide details how to obtain this valuable weapon.
After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either blacksmithing or milling. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location on your map conveniently leads you to the bow. While the blacksmith job offers access to Semine’s wedding and eventually the hermit's sword, the bow is obtainable beforehand.
The blacksmith resides in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. West of Troskowitz, follow the path north. Where the main road splits and a smaller path veers west, turn right into a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area houses a small training ground.
You'll find a target with arrows – collect these for free ammunition. To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. Nearby, you can also gather brew from a stump and collect mushrooms. Once you've gathered your supplies, proceed with your quest.
Alternative Acquisition:
While purchasable from Huntsman’s Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most powerful ranged weapon. Given its proximity to the free version, purchasing it isn't recommended. Vitek, however, offers superior weapons, and you can supplement your funds through alchemy.
Having a ranged weapon significantly eases combat, particularly beneficial for those who prefer ranged combat over melee.
After acquiring the bow (whether free or purchased), continue to Tachov to become a blacksmith (saving after forging a sword) or to the miller to advance the main quest.
This method ensures you'll have a ranged advantage early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
