Frike's Geometric Arcade Game Hits Android
Some video games send your heart racing and blood pressure skyrocketing—that intensity is what makes them thrilling.
Others slow your pulse, lulling you into a state of peaceful meditation. These games have their own magic.
Frike, the debut Android game from indie developer chakahacka, somehow manages to belong to both categories simultaneously.
Your objective in Frike is straightforward: survive as long as possible. You control a floating triangle split into equal purple, orange, and green segments. Two buttons on the left adjust your altitude, while one on the right rotates your triangular avatar.
Frike features just one level—but don’t mistake simplicity for limitations. This level stretches infinitely, ensuring you'll never reach its non-existent endpoint.
The game’s moody, abstract world is dotted with colored blocks—white, purple, orange, and green. Score points by aligning your triangle’s matching corners with corresponding blocks.

Hit too many mismatched or white blocks, and your triangle shatters.
Some blocks offer power-ups—like speed reductions to help time your next move.
Frike epitomizes minimalist arcade gaming. It’s as intense or relaxing as you choose: chase high scores for tension, or glide leisurely through its atmospheric world.
Complementing its understated visuals is a hypnotic soundtrack of echoing chimes and metallic tones.
Ready to try it? Frike is available now as a free download on the Google Play Store.
