Hearthstone has kicked off the Year of the Raptor with a myriad of new content

The Year of the Raptor has arrived in Hearthstone, bringing a revitalized competitive scene and a fresh expansion cycle starting with Into the Emerald Dream, launching soon with a special pre-release event. A new Year of the Raptor game board boasts updated visuals and audio.

This year's Core Set update features returning favorites, balance adjustments, and exciting new cards. Several cards with disruptive effects, such as burst damage, have been removed to enhance gameplay. More details on these changes will be revealed soon.

Hearthstone Esports returns in 2025 with a robust schedule: two Seasonal Championships and a World Championship, boasting a prize pool of at least $600,000 in partnership with Netease Thunderfire. Further details regarding format and rules will be announced shortly. This expanded program aims to broaden participation in the competitive scene.

A major Arena update is slated for Patch 32.2, following the release of Into the Emerald Dream. This update promises a refined drafting experience and a fresh take on the Arena mode. Patch 32.2 will also include a Battlegrounds Seasonal Update and the Into the Emerald Dream Mini-Set, arriving a patch earlier than usual. This adjusted patch schedule is a temporary measure to optimize development and content delivery. The Into the Emerald Dream expansion will maintain its standard structure, with all planned updates and events. The schedule will revert to its usual format starting with Patch 33.0 after Patch 32.4.
