Hunters, prepare for February's Open Beta!
Monster Hunter Wilds: February Open Beta Extends Hunting Opportunities
Get ready for another chance to experience the thrill of Monster Hunter Wilds! A second Open Beta Test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February, offering both newcomers and returning players a taste of the action before the game's official launch on February 28th, 2025.
New Monster, New Content
This extended beta includes exciting new additions not featured in the initial test. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the return engagement via a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. Prepare to face the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles.
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Character Data and Rewards
Character data from the first beta can be carried over and will transfer to the full game. Note that game progress will not be saved. However, participating hunters will receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack to aid early-game progression.
Tsujimoto stated the decision for a second beta was driven by player requests to participate or replay the experience. While the development team is diligently working on post-launch improvements detailed in a previous community update, these enhancements won't be included in this beta phase.
Prepare for the full release of Monster Hunter Wilds on February 28th, 2025, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Happy hunting!
