Insomniac Games Pitched Resistance 4, But Never Got It Approved
Insomniac Games' Ted Price reveals a cancelled Resistance 4
Insomniac Games founder and retiring president Ted Price, in a recent interview with Kinda Funny Games, revealed that a Resistance 4 pitch was unfortunately never approved. While the concept was deemed "wonderful," the timing and market opportunity weren't favorable.
Price expressed the team's passion for continuing the Resistance storyline, highlighting the series' compelling alternate history and the untapped potential of the Chimera's origins and future.
The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters, debuted on the PlayStation 3. Following the success of the Resistance games, Insomniac shifted focus to other projects, including the popular Marvel's Spider-Man franchise and new Ratchet & Clank titles.
Price's retirement from Insomniac Games after over three decades was announced earlier this year. Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang have been appointed as Co-Studio Heads to succeed him.
Insomniac's latest release, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, recently launched on PC, with Marvel's Wolverine slated as their next project.
