Warhorse Studios, the developer, celebrated this milestone as a "triumph," echoing their earlier reaction to the game's initial 1 million sales within a single day of its February 4th launch across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

This remarkable achievement is particularly impressive considering the game's performance on Steam, where it boasted over 250,000 concurrent players at its peak. This significantly outpaces the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 concurrent players seven years prior. The actual peak player count is likely even higher, factoring in console players, though precise figures remain unavailable from Sony and Microsoft.

Embracer Group, Warhorse Studios' parent company, highlighted Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's strong performance, praising both player and critical reception. CEO Lars Wingefors attributed the success to the dedication of Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver, expressing confidence in the game's continued revenue generation over the coming years. He emphasized the game's high quality, immersive gameplay, and broad appeal. The post-launch roadmap for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 includes three expansions slated for 2025. Spring will see free updates, including a barber feature with enhanced customization, Hardcore Mode, and horse racing. Summer will introduce the first paid DLC, "Brushes with Death," following protagonist Henry as he assists a mysterious artist. Autumn brings "Legacy of the Forge," delving into Henry's past through his adoptive father Martin's history. Finally, winter will release "Mysteria Ecclesia," where Henry undertakes a clandestine mission within the Sedlec Monastery.
