Limbus Company: How to Get Lunacy

Author : Skylar Update : Mar 26,2025

In the world of Limbus Company, Lunacy stands as the premium currency, essential for unlocking new Identities and EGOs. As the game's primary gacha currency, amassing Lunacy is crucial if you're aiming to enhance your collection of character variants.

Earning Lunacy in Limbus Company follows a familiar pattern seen in many gacha games. At the start, you'll find yourself flooded with Lunacy, but as your account progresses, the rate at which you acquire it will noticeably decrease.

How to Get Lunacy in Limbus Company

For newcomers to Limbus Company, diving into the main story is your initial ticket to Lunacy. Completing each chapter can earn you around 390 Lunacy, with an additional 260 Lunacy up for grabs if you manage to secure EX ratings on enough missions. Achieving an EX clear involves meeting all the specific EX objectives for a mission, and doing so for the first time will net you an extra 40 Lunacy. So, put your best foot forward to meet those objectives and maximize your Lunacy earnings.

Additionally, tackling Luxcavation stages for the first time offers Lunacy rewards, though these are one-time bonuses.

Once you've exhausted the story quests, your Lunacy gains will begin to wane. At this point, your strategies to accumulate Lunacy should pivot to the following methods:

  • Completing or EX clearing event stages.
  • Engaging in Boosted Mirror Dungeons.
  • Uptying Identities to higher tiers.
  • Collecting rewards from the battle pass.
  • Making direct purchases of Lunacy.

Boosted Mirror Dungeons are likely to become your most reliable source of Lunacy. You can participate in up to three of these dungeons each week, potentially earning 750 Lunacy in the process. These dungeons reset weekly on Wednesdays, but be warned—they can be challenging, so come prepared with your strongest Identities.

Events offer another lucrative opportunity for Lunacy acquisition. Given their limited duration, it's wise to jump on these whenever they're available. Be sure to thoroughly review all event rewards to ensure you don't miss out on any additional benefits.

Uptying, or upgrading your Sinners' Identities and EGOs, is another route to Lunacy. Reaching Uptie Tier 3 with an Identity grants you 40 Lunacy. While this method has its limits, it's a long-term strategy as it takes time to reach non-default Sinner Identities to Uptie 3. Keep pushing to level up your characters and gather Threads, and you'll gradually Uptie your entire roster, accumulating Lunacy along the way.

Lastly, the battle passes in Limbus Company offer a wealth of resources for enhancing your Sinners, including Lunacy rewards. While the free tracks provide some benefits, accessing all the rewards requires a real-money investment.
