Marvel Halts Production on Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc.
Marvel Television has reportedly placed three shows – Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. – on hold. According to Deadline sources, these projects lacked official greenlighting and their future remains uncertain, though not necessarily cancelled. Marvel's strategic shift in priorities is the cited reason.
This strategic realignment coincides with Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. This week, Brad Winderbaum, head of streaming and TV at Marvel Studios, indicated an exploration of reuniting the street-level heroes of The Defenders (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist).

Marvel Studios' current approach involves developing a larger volume of shows than it produces, reflecting Winderbaum's previous statement to Screen Rant: "We’re really being careful about what we choose to do next."
The Nova news is particularly unexpected, especially considering Ed Bernero (former Criminal Minds showrunner) was announced as writer and showrunner just two months prior, with Nova confirmed for Disney+. (See IGN's comprehensive Nova coverage for details.)
Strange Academy was anticipated to center around the MCU's Doctor Strange's magic school, overseen by Wong. Details regarding Terror, Inc. remain unavailable.
Confirmed Marvel TV show release dates: Daredevil: Born Again (March 4th, Disney+), Ironheart (June 24th, Disney+), and Wonder Man (December, Disney+). Following Captain America: Brave New World, three MCU films are slated for release this year: Thunderbolts (May) and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
