NetEase Games has exciting news for Marvel Rivals players: a new hero will be introduced every month and a half as new seasons are released. This commitment was made clear by the studio's creative director, Guangyun Chen, in an interview with Metro. Chen stated that the team plans to release a new playable character every half-season, which translates to a new hero approximately every six weeks.

"Every season we'll be rolling out fresh seasonal stories, new maps, and new heroes. We'll actually be breaking down each season into two halves," Chen explained. "The length of one season is three months. And for each half of the season, we will introduce a new hero. We just eventually want to continue to enhance the experience, and, you know, keep everyone excited in our community."

As each season concludes, fans are left eagerly anticipating the next hero reveal. Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls set a strong precedent by introducing Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman in the first half, followed by The Thing and the Human Torch in the second half. These iconic characters have set a high bar, and maintaining that momentum will be a significant challenge for the developers.

The game launched with an impressive roster featuring heroes like Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, Jeff the Landshark, and Storm. However, there are still many more characters fans hope to see, such as Blade, rumored for Season 2, and others like Daredevil, Deadpool, and various X-Men. With the success Marvel Rivals has already achieved, NetEase shows no signs of slowing down.

In addition to new heroes, Marvel Rivals Season 1 brought numerous balance changes and gameplay tweaks, with more updates promised for the future. For further updates and insights, players can explore how some are using the Invisible Woman to combat an alleged bot problem, delve into the Hero Hot List, and learn about the use of mods despite the risk of bans.
