Pikmin Bloom Unveils Mooncake Decor for Mid-Autumn Festival

Pikmin Bloom welcomes the Mid-Autumn Festival with a delightful new addition: Mooncake Decor Pikmin. For those unfamiliar, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a major annual celebration across Asia, centered on family reunions, glowing lanterns, and the sharing of traditional mooncakes.

When do the Mooncake Decor appear in Pikmin Bloom?

The new Mooncake Decor Pikmin will be available from September 1st through September 30th, 2025. They will be joined by the returning Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin for the event's duration.

You can acquire Mooncake Decor Pikmin by completing special Event Challenge missions. Successfully finishing these tasks rewards you with items like Moonlit Lanterns, flower petals, and seedlings that grow into these festive Pikmin.

There are seven unique Mooncake Pikmin to collect in total. Completing challenges also increases your chances of causing a Big Flower to bloom, which is a guaranteed source of a Gold Seedling.

The returning Mahjong Tile Pikmin feature a fresh update. Pikmin grown from Mahjong Tile Seedlings can now display any of 14 different tile designs, including seven new bamboo suit tiles (numbered 2 through 8) introduced for the first time.

Note that not every Mahjong Pikmin from previous events will be obtainable, so your collection might have a few gaps. To earn these seedlings, you must complete event missions by gathering Moonlit Lanterns.

Clearing the lantern missions can unlock special costumes for your Mii

As always, Magnificent Mushrooms are a key part of the festivities. Defeating them grants Mystery Boxes, which can contain lanterns, Mahjong Pikmin seedlings, and other valuable rewards.

Both Mooncake and Mahjong Pikmin deal increased damage to these mushrooms. The challenge intensifies on weekends with the arrival of even larger Giant Magnificent Mushrooms.

These Giant Magnificent Mushrooms will appear on the following weekends: September 6th-7th, 13th-14th, 20th-21st, and 27th-28th. To tackle them with friends, you can use the Mushroom Battle Bullhorn up to three times daily during these periods.
