The legendary strategy franchise expands further as Age of Empires Mobile introduces its innovative Mercenaries System, empowering players with greater command over their military forces.

Upon reaching Level 26, players gain access to the Mercenary Camp, where they can enlist formidable mercenary units. These specialized warriors feature upgradable technologies unique to their class.

Each mercenary group possesses distinctive combat abilities:

Byzantine Cataphract:

Boosts all army hero skill damage by [2%]
After dealing skill damage, reduces all incoming damage to allied troops by [3.5%] for [3] seconds

Swiss Pikeman:

Raises the activation chance of hero pursuit/active skills by [1%]
Decreases all damage taken by troops by [2%]

Korean Archer:

Enhances the trigger rate of hero pursuit/active skills by [1%]
Reduces all incoming troop damage by [2%]

Players can obtain their initial Mercenary units free of charge by completing a special in-game event, currently available alongside the system launch.
