The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially revealed during Sony's State of Play 2025 presentation, confirming the previously leaked August 28, 2025 launch. A new trailer debuted alongside the announcement.

The PlayStation Store leak, which surfaced last week, accurately predicted both the date and the trailer's availability.

An intriguing Ape Escape crossover was also hinted at, with a concluding "And More" suggesting additional collaborations are planned for the game. This initial crossover likely references the monkey minigame from the original Metal Gear Solid 3, where Snake used stun grenades and his "Monkey Shaker" to subdue primates.

While featuring a new first-person viewpoint, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater appears to be a remarkably faithful recreation of its predecessor.
