Microsoft Reveals Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 Titles

Microsoft has unveiled the exciting lineup for the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2, adding a fresh selection of titles to the service. This announcement, featured on Xbox Wire, precedes the highly anticipated Xbox Developer Direct event on January 23, where fans can expect to see day one Game Pass releases like Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a surprise fourth title.

The January 2025 Wave 2 kicks off on January 21 with the launch of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This day one release invites players to "Crash over and over until you master the mountain in the snowy follow-up to Lonely Mountains: Downhill." Featuring cross-platform multiplayer for up to eight players, you can either team up to navigate the slopes or race to the bottom in an adrenaline-pumping competition.

On January 22, the Game Pass library expands further. Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering a cooperative multiplayer experience centered around the joy of flight and collecting charming creatures. The same day, Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) becomes available on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, bringing back the beloved 5v5 MOBA hero shooter with new content and a definitive experience.

Also on January 22, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console) enters Game Pass Standard, delivering a unique Japanese-inspired single-player action-strategy game. Players will engage in a day-night cycle to purify and defend against hordes. Moving forward to January 28, Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC) launches as a day one title on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This fantasy action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games promises epic battles and magical combat. The same day sees the release of Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, offering action-packed, trap-defense gameplay in a rogue-lite setting.

On January 29, Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) becomes available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This emotional journey features stunning visuals and a compelling narrative voiced by Hannah Murray. January 30 brings Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC) to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day one release, focusing on stealth and sniping in occupied France, with co-op campaign support.

The month concludes with Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) launching on January 31 on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This sequel to the acclaimed RPG offers a dice-driven experience in a sci-fi world. Finally, on February 4, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, inviting players to explore a post-apocalyptic Hope County.
