Supply Can't Keep Up With Demand
Nintendo Japan announced on their website that the widely anticipated Alarmo alarm clock's general sale has been postponed. Initially scheduled for February 2025, the launch has been pushed back due to production and inventory challenges. The impact on international stock remains unclear; a global launch is still planned for March 2025.
In the interim, Nintendo is offering a pre-order system exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online members in Japan. Pre-orders open in mid-December, with shipments beginning in early February 2025. The precise pre-order start date will be announced shortly.
Nintendo's Popular Alarm Clock
Launched globally in October, the Alarmo quickly gained popularity. This interactive alarm clock features iconic music from Nintendo franchises like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, and RingFit Adventure, with more soundtracks promised via future updates.
Its initial success overwhelmed Nintendo, prompting them to halt online orders and implement a lottery system. The Alarmo sold out completely in physical Nintendo stores across Japan and even the New York Nintendo store.
Check back for updates on pre-orders and the rescheduled general sale date.
