Genki displayed what it claimed was a 3D-printed mockup of the upcoming console, along with alleged details regarding a release date and possession of a functional Switch 2 unit.

In statements to CNET Japan and the Sankei newspaper, Nintendo categorically stated that the images and videos presented by Genki are not official. They further clarified that Genki did not receive any official Nintendo Switch 2 hardware.

Genki, known for its range of gaming accessories including controllers and SSDs, even features a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 accessories page on its website, complete with an animated mockup of the console. This proactive marketing strategy, however, contrasts sharply with Nintendo's official silence on the matter, save for a previous confirmation of backward compatibility with the original Switch.
