Norman Reedus Eager to Play Himself in 'Death Stranding 2' Movie
Attention all Death Stranding fans! Get ready for an exciting update: the highly anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, is slated to hit the shelves in June. In a recent interview with IGN, the franchise's leading man, Norman Reedus, gave us a sneak peek into the upcoming game and dropped some intriguing hints about the future film adaptation.
When asked about the possibility of reprising his role in a film version of the game, which was announced last month by Michael Sarnoski and A24, Reedus responded enthusiastically, "If it was an option, yeah, for sure. I don’t know what’s happening with it. It’s so pre pre pre right now. But yeah, of course."
Reedus also shared his thoughts on working with the enigmatic game creator, Hideo Kojima. Despite admitting to being initially confused by the first game, Reedus expressed a deep trust in Kojima's vision. "As far as working with him and understanding where his head’s at, I don’t think anybody can understand where his head’s at," he said. "He’s just that guy, he’s out there and he’s got great ideas. But story-wise, I did know what was happening more. There’s more action in it, there’s more of a definite goal to get to."
No matter the twists and turns in the Death Stranding universe, Reedus remains thrilled to be part of the journey. "It’s always a trip working on those things," he shared with IGN. "It’s great, but it’s wild."
Mark your calendars, because Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is set to launch on June 26, 2025. Stay tuned for more updates and prepare for another unforgettable adventure.
