Witch Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Infernalist

The Infernalist stands out as one of the most powerful Witches in Path of Exile 2, specializing in an array of fire-based spells. If you enjoyed summoning minions earlier in the game, you'll appreciate the new Infernal Hound skill, a fiery companion from the underworld. The Infernalist can also transform into a demonic form, boosting attack damage and mobility at the cost of faster health depletion. To extend your time in this form, the Loyal Hellhound skill is essential, while Beidat's Will ties your Spirit to your maximum HP, necessitating investment in both HP and Strength to command an army of the undead.

Blood Mage

Though not as popular or balanced as the Infernalist, the Blood Mage offers a thrilling gameplay experience. With Sanguimancy, your character uses HP instead of MP, creating a high-risk, high-reward dynamic where reckless play can lead to swift demise. Skills like Vitality Siphon and Life Remnants help sustain you by draining enemy health, while Sunder the Flesh and Gore Spike enhance your critical hit chances and attack damage, respectively.

Sorcerer Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Stormweaver

The Stormweaver Sorcerer unleashes devastating elemental damage, often with a high critical hit chance, triggering Elemental Storm via Tempest Caller. Inflicting status ailments on enemies is key, aided by the passive skill Strike Twice. Using Spirit Gems, you can amplify damage against groups afflicted with negative effects. Constant Gale and Force of Will boost spell casting speed and MP regeneration, crucial for this magic-heavy class. The Heart of the Storm node converts some Elemental Damage into an Energy Shield, enhancing survivability.

Chronomancer

A fresh addition to the Path of Exile universe, the Chronomancer manipulates time to control the flow of battle, offering innovative combat strategies. Exclusive spells like Temporal Rift and Time Freeze open up new combo possibilities. While not the strongest Sorcerer Ascendancy currently, it holds significant potential. Skills like Now and Again, Apex of the Moment, and Quicksand Hourglass allow time manipulation, from avoiding cooldowns to slowing down enemies and speeding up magic creation.

Warrior Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Warbringer

The Warbringer combines war cries with totem summons for close combat, aiming to maximize melee damage. Effective against bosses, totems distract and absorb damage. Enhance your armor penetration with Imploding Impacts and Anvil’s Weight. Warcaller’s Bellow causes enemy corpses to explode on Warcry use, and Greatwolf’s Howl removes Warcry cooldowns. For a defensive approach, Renly’s Training and Turtle Charm boost shield and blocking capabilities.

Titan

Prefer a more controlled, less risky approach? The Titan path suits you with its powerful, slow attacks that paralyze enemies. Stone Skin increases the defensive power of gear by 50%, and Mysterious Lineage boosts max HP by 15%. While a defensive powerhouse, the Titan also deals significant damage with abilities like Earthbreaker and Ancestral Empowerment, enhancing Slam abilities. Surprising Strength increases damage against stunned enemies by 40%.

Monk Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Invoker

The Invoker harnesses elemental power, offering melee-focused Monks access to powerful abilities and status-enhancing effects. Utilizing elemental damage and status effects to devastate enemies, the Invoker also uses Power Charges to add strategic depth to gameplay.

Acolyte of Chayula

Embracing the darkness, the Acolyte of Chayula gains dominion over dark forces. The Embrace the Darkness skill allows you to forgo Spirit, increasing max Darkness to 100 and granting exceptional survivability. Combining Consuming Questions with Mana Leech strengthens defenses, but be cautious as it removes the Energy Shield's cooldown, relying on MP drain, which is currently inefficient. Until this is addressed, the Acolyte remains less effective than the Invoker.

Mercenary Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Witchhunter

The Witchhunter excels at hunting demons and the undead, dealing increased damage on both the first and last hits for swift area clears. Against bosses, passive skills like Pitiless Killer, Damage vs Low Life Enemies, and Judge, Jury, and Executioner are crucial for victory. Witchbane and No Mercy reduce enemy concentration and boost damage, while Zealous Inquisition has a 10% chance to make slain enemies explode, damaging nearby foes.

Gemling Legionnaire

The Gemling Legionnaire's gameplay revolves around gem mechanics, enhancing resistances and skill levels based on gem color and quality. Thaumaturgical Infusion, Crystalline Potential, and Implanted Gems boost resistances and skill levels, while Advanced Thaumaturgy reduces skill costs and attribute requirements. Integrated Efficiency adds three additional active skill slots, and Gem Studded allows the use of duplicate Support stones, offering vast potential for experimentation.

Ranger Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Deadeye

The Deadeye is perfect for ranged combat enthusiasts, enhancing attack range and damage output. Endless Munitions adds an additional projectile per skill use, ideal for clearing screens of enemies. This path suits those favoring the classic bow and elemental damage, with increased movement speed, extra projectiles, and an additional Mark.

Pathfinder

The Pathfinder excels in poisoning, doubling the effectiveness of health drain. Overwhelming Toxicity doubles Poison applied but shortens its duration. The gas grenade, combined with high movement speed and slow resistance, blankets the battlefield in toxic mist. If you enjoy poison mechanics and unique gameplay, the Pathfinder is your class.
