Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Adds Free New Game+ Mode
The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all anxiously awaiting Nintendo Switch 2 updates, today's focus is on a beloved franchise: Like a Dragon. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its Hawaiian pirate adventure.
The presentation highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and a diverse range of explorable locations. Goro Majima will boast two distinct combat styles: a nimble, speed-oriented approach and a devastating style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.
Players can recruit unique allies to their pirate crew, providing invaluable assistance in combat, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises hidden islands brimming with secrets and original side quests to uncover.
A significant announcement concluded the presentation: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition! This is a welcome change from the previous Infinite Wealth title, where this mode was exclusive to the premium edition, drawing considerable criticism towards SEGA. This free update is fantastic news, and with the game launching in just six weeks, the wait won't be long.
