Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Get Ready for Festive Fun!

Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual holiday event, running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025. This year's festivities include exciting bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in the new year in style. Following the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd), prepare for a week of New Year's cheer!

This year's event features a special bonus: catch Pokémon with Excellent Throws to earn 2,025 XP each! Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere with New Year's decorations and celebratory fireworks lighting up the sky.

Keep an eye out for themed Pokémon! Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (sporting a party hat) will appear more frequently in the wild, with a chance to encounter their Shiny forms.

Raids are also getting a festive makeover. One-star raids feature a snowflake-hatted Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-wearing Raticate and Wobbuffet. All three boast increased Shiny rates.
