January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue: Genshin Impact Leads the Pack

The gacha game market continues to generate significant revenue, with January 2025 figures revealing some interesting trends. Genshin Impact, boosted by a major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, saw a remarkable surge in revenue, doubling its December 2024 earnings to a staggering $99.4 million.

Trailing behind Genshin Impact, Pokemon TCG secured second place with $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, rounded out the top three, generating $55.2 million.

Honkai Star Rail experienced a dip in earnings, reaching $50.8 million for the month. Zenless Zone Zero also saw a significant decline, with revenue halved from $57.9 million in the previous month to $26.3 million in January.

It's important to note that this ranking is based solely on mobile platform revenue. While some titles, such as miHoYo's games, also have PC versions, these are not included in the calculations. Furthermore, the data incorporates an estimation method for Android revenue in China, due to the absence of Google Play in that market. This estimation utilizes a multiplier based on iOS revenue within China.
