Relic Unveils Earth vs. Mars Skirmish for Company of Heroes

Author : Aurora Update : Feb 23,2025

Relic Entertainment, the studio behind Company of Heroes, is branching out with Earth vs. Mars, a smaller-scale, turn-based strategy game launching this summer on PC (Steam). Players will lead Earth's defense against a Martian invasion, utilizing the Splice-O-Tron to create unique creature-human hybrids like the Squirrel-Cow, Human-Rhino, and Cheetah-Fly. Gameplay draws inspiration from the classic Advance Wars.

Relic describes the game's premise: "For decades, Martians have secretly visited Earth, abducting humans and animals. Now, they've launched a full-scale invasion. Players command Earth's forces against advanced Martian weaponry, including saucers, grav-tanks, and elite warriors, in a fight for survival."

Earth vs. Mars features a 30+ mission single-player campaign, online multiplayer (both factions playable), a VS Mode against AI opponents, and a map editor.

Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell stated, "We're thrilled to put a Relic spin on the Advance Wars formula, blending our signature style with elements from our earlier games." He added, "This new strategy allows us to expand beyond traditional RTS, exploring new genres, experimenting creatively, and releasing games more often." Add it to your Steam wishlist today!
