Teardown Expands with Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has announced exciting news for fans of their popular sandbox game, Teardown: a new multiplayer mode and an upcoming expansion, the Folkrace DLC. The Folkrace DLC will significantly boost the single-player experience with fresh maps, vehicles, and thrilling racing challenges. Players can compete in diverse events, unlock rewards, and personalize their vehicles for ultimate track dominance.

The highly anticipated multiplayer mode will initially launch on Steam's Experimental Branch, providing players with early access and the opportunity to test the feature. The developers are actively seeking feedback, particularly from the modding community. Upcoming API updates will allow modders to seamlessly integrate their creations into the multiplayer experience.

This multiplayer addition fulfills a long-held goal for the development team and directly addresses a frequently requested feature from the game's dedicated fanbase.

At launch, the multiplayer mode will be accessible through Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players to dive in and experience the new mode. Concurrently, the team will release API updates to support modders in adapting their existing content for multiplayer. Following a thorough testing phase, multiplayer will become a permanent core feature of the game.

Looking forward, Tuxedo Labs confirmed that two more substantial DLC expansions are currently under development, with further details to be revealed later in 2025.
