Top Jedi Survivors of Order 66 Ranked

This month marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the concluding chapter in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. The film, released on May 19, 2005, was the final Star Wars film directed by George Lucas before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney seven years later.

Fans knew that Revenge of the Sith would showcase Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader, but a significant question remained about the fate of the other Jedi. The film introduced Order 66, a sinister part of Palpatine's scheme where Clone Troopers, who had previously fought alongside the Jedi, were ordered to turn against and execute them. Given the thousands of Jedi in service at the time, it was plausible that some would escape Palpatine's grasp, including a few who were essential to the continuity of the Original Trilogy.

Among the several dozen Order 66 survivors introduced in canon Star Wars stories, we've ranked the top 10 who've made a significant impact. Some of these survivors lived only a short while longer, while others endured much further into the timeline, with some fates still unknown. Regardless, these Jedi all lived to fight another day after Palpatine's chilling command, "Execute Order 66."

For this list, the criteria are clear: the characters must have been under the jurisdiction of the Jedi Order before Order 66, whether as Padawans, Jedi Knights, Jedi Masters, or even young Jedi Initiates. This excludes non-Jedi Force-users like Maul and Palpatine, as well as those like Jod Na Nawood who, despite receiving some Jedi training, were never officially part of the Jedi Order.

There was some debate about whether Asajj Ventress should be included. She was trained by Jedi Master Ky Narec on Rattatak for over 20 years, whom she considered her Padawan. However, Ventress never visited Coruscant or met any members of the Jedi Council or other Jedi before Narec's death. Her subsequent turn to the Dark Side under Dooku's tutelage complicates her status as a Jedi. Therefore, we've designated her as an honorable mention.
