Universe for Sale Is a New Visual Novel Set in a Bizarre Bazaar on Planet Jupiter

Akupara Games and Tmesis Studio's latest adventure game, Universe for Sale, is now available. Akupara Games has already released several intriguing titles this year, including the Darkside Detective series and Zoeti.

A Universe Truly for Sale?

The game unfolds on a space station orbiting Jupiter, a bizarre marketplace shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Orangutans with surprising wit work the docks, and cultists barter flesh for enlightenment.

The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the unusual ability to create universes from her very hand.

The game begins in the ramshackle mining colony shantytown. You play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment – a character both creepy and captivating.

Exploring the rickety tea shops and other peculiar establishments, you eventually discover Honin’s Tea House, Lila’s shop. Lila's mysterious nature gradually unfolds as you shift between her perspective and the Master's throughout the game.

Playing as Lila involves creating universes in a captivating mini-game, mixing and matching ingredients to produce mesmerizing visual worlds. Meanwhile, the Master's journey delves into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounters with the Church of Many Gods.

The narrative unfolds, prompting speculation about the underlying events. Each character, whether human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the richly detailed world invites exploration of every nook and cranny.
