Nightmare Crownless is a powerful new Nightmare Echo in Wuthering Waves, a boosted version of the Overlord-class Echo. Its enhanced Havoc and Basic Attack DMG make it a prime choice for specific character builds.

Unlike standard Echoes, Nightmare Crownless requires a bit more legwork to obtain. You'll need to complete the "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" quest and then locate several additional elements within the game world. Let's break it down:

Ruins Where Shadows Roam Quest Guide

This isn't your typical quest; you won't find it from an NPC. Instead, navigate to the Exploration Progress menu for the Penitent's End region in Rinascita. (Open your map and look for the compass icon near your current location.) "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" will be listed there.

This quest is closely tied to "Quest of Faith," an optional quest involving four enemy encounters in Penitent's End. Begin at the Resonance Beacon across the broken bridge in Wailing Ascent. Interact with the prompt near the circular arena adjacent to the beacon to initiate a battle against a Questless Knight.

Defeating these knights requires strategy. Lure them near lit Macabre Torches within the arena. These torches can be re-lit by drawing Fae Ignis enemies towards them. Avoid using powerful skills near the torches to prevent accidentally extinguishing them.

How to Unlock Nightmare Crownless in Wuthering Waves

Once you've completed "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" and "Quest of Faith," the final step involves locating all four Dream Patrols in Penitent's End (shown in the image above). Completing these Patrols isn't mandatory for unlocking Nightmare Crownless, but it's highly recommended for additional resources and Monnaie. After finding all four, Nightmare Crownless will appear on your map within the ruins north of Penitent's End.

Remember, Nightmare Echoes utilize Enhanced Absorption charges, significantly boosting their drop rate. You're limited to 15 charges per week, so plan your farming accordingly if you're aiming to acquire multiple Echoes.
