World of Warcraft Adding Recolors of Rare Mounts, But There\'s a Catch

Two exclusive WoW mounts, the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar, are coming to World of Warcraft China. These mounts are reimagined versions of the incredibly rare Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar, respectively.

Available starting January 15th, these mounts are obtainable through separate promotions within WoW China. The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, reminiscent of the Pureblood Fire Hawk, features auspicious clouds within its wings while airborne. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a gilded variation of its predecessor, boasts a stylish black saddle and a flavor text referencing Kael'thas Sunstrider's iconic line: "The golden Al'ar, beloved pet of Kael'thas Sunstrider, proves that death is merely a setback."

The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk is a reward from a "Treasure Workshop" event, while the Golden Ashes of Al'ar is obtainable from Landro's Loot Box, priced at ¥200 (approximately $27). This loot box offers a chance at various prizes, including other rare mounts like the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the Swift Spectral Tiger. Group purchases of loot boxes offer bonus crates.

Currently, there's no indication these mounts will be released internationally. For now, players outside of China can only admire these visually stunning additions to the WoW mount collection.
