Warframe: 1999 gets a prequel comic to prep you for the major expansion
Warframe: 1999's upcoming launch is preceded by a new prequel comic! Delve into the origins of the six Protoframes and their connection to the rogue scientist, Albrecht Entrati.
Remember the Sea of Conquest comic? This prequel, available on the official Warframe website, follows a similar path, using a traditional medium to complement the upcoming expansion. This 33-page comic, illustrated by Warframe fan artist Karu, explores the backstories of the Hex Syndicate's misfit Protoframes and their entanglement with Entrati's experiments, weaving their narratives into the larger Warframe universe.
But the goodies don't stop there! Download a free printable poster of the comic cover to adorn your in-game landing pad. Additionally, free printable 3D miniatures of all six Protoframes are available for players to assemble and paint.
Warframe: 1999 represents a significant advancement for the Warframe franchise, even as an expansion. Digital Extremes' collaboration with fan artist Karu is commendable, showcasing the artist's talent to a broader audience and highlighting the vibrant Warframe community.
