WWE 2K25: First Glimpses and Speculation

Xbox recently unveiled screenshots of the upcoming WWE 2K25, sparking excitement among wrestling game fans. Following the March 2024 release of WWE 2K24, speculation is rife about a similar launch window for its successor in 2025. While official details remain scarce, fan anticipation is high, focusing particularly on the cover star and roster.

Past WWE game covers have featured wrestling legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, alongside current superstars such as Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair. A recent Steam page leak has hinted at a potential cover athlete, though confirmation awaits. The official word, however, will come on January 28, 2025, as indicated by a link shared on the WWE Games Twitter account.

Xbox's Twitter post, celebrating WWE RAW's Netflix debut, showcased screenshots featuring updated models and attires for Liv Morgan, Cody Rhodes, Damien Priest, and CM Punk. The images generated considerable buzz, with some fans inquiring about potential Xbox Game Pass inclusion. The noticeable improvement in Cody Rhodes' likeness, and the accurate portrayal of Liv Morgan, were also highlighted.

Four Confirmed WWE 2K25 Playable Characters:

  • CM Punk
  • Damien Priest
  • Liv Morgan
  • Cody Rhodes

While these four are confirmed, the full roster remains a mystery. Given significant roster changes within WWE, including both departures and new signings, fans eagerly await the inclusion of their favorites. Many are hoping to see the Bloodline members Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, and the newly revamped Wyatt Six, featured in the game.

Although the initial announcement came from Xbox, WWE 2K25 is anticipated for release on PlayStation and PC as well. Whether it will be exclusive to current-generation consoles remains unconfirmed. A wishlist page linked from the WWE Games Twitter account displays Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam logos, further emphasizing the January 28, 2025 reveal date for more details.
