Bandai Namco Unveils Digimon Alysion: Digital Card Game

Bandai Namco is gearing up to launch Digimon Alysion, a digital adaptation of the Digimon Card Game, available for free on Android and iOS. While an exact release date remains under wraps, excitement is building following the game's official announcement at Digimon Con 2025 on March 19th. The event also brought news of a new arc for Digimon Liberator in April 2025, a special video celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime, and the unveiling of Digimon Adventure: Beyond. Additionally, fans can look forward to Digimon Story: Time Stranger, a new RPG coming to consoles and PC.

If You Play Digimon Card Game, Alysion Isn’t the Same

Digimon Alysion isn't just a direct port of the physical card game; it's innovating with the introduction of 'DigiAly' cards, designed specifically for this mobile version. Alongside these new cards, Bandai Namco is also adding fresh Digimon and characters to the mix. The game's website showcases a predominantly female cast, an unusual choice for a digital card game that has sparked some skepticism among fans expecting a faithful adaptation of the physical game.

This isn't Bandai Namco's first foray into Digimon mobile games, but their previous attempts have fallen short, leading to some reservations about the success of Digimon Alysion. Despite this, anticipation remains high, and a closed beta test is on the horizon, though details are yet to be disclosed. For more updates, keep an eye on the official website or their X account.
