Blizzard's Overwatch 2 is again embroiled in controversy. A new Lucio skin, the Cyber DJ, initially priced at $19.99, was unexpectedly offered for free a day later.

The skin appeared in the in-game store, only to be revealed as a Twitch drop reward for watching a one-hour stream on February 12th. This angered many players who purchased the skin before the free giveaway was announced.

This isn't the first time Blizzard has faced backlash for selling cosmetics and later offering them for free. Players are demanding refunds, citing unfair practices. The Cyber DJ skin has been removed from the store, but Blizzard remains silent on refund requests.

Facing stiff competition, particularly from the successful Marvel Rivals, Blizzard is planning a significant overhaul. A special Overwatch 2 Spotlight event on February 12th will unveil revolutionary gameplay changes, including new maps, heroes, and other content. Popular streamers will also preview the updates.
