Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet Launches in Rec Room

Gaming platform Rec Room is teaming up with Bungie to introduce Destiny 2 to a new generation through an exciting new experience called Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet. This unique blend merges the sci-fi universe of Destiny 2 with Rec Room's community-driven environment, offering fans a fresh way to engage with the iconic game.

Destiny 2, an FPS MMO developed by Bungie, first launched in 2017. In this game, you take on the role of a guardian with the power to wield elemental forces, tasked with defending humanity and exploring the solar system. Since its debut, Destiny 2 has expanded its narrative through yearly expansions and enriched its gameplay with quarterly seasons, including raids and dungeons. The latest season, The Final Shape, was released earlier this month.

Starting July 11th, Rec Room users will have the opportunity to explore a meticulously recreated Destiny Tower, a landmark from the game. This experience is accessible across multiple platforms, including console, PC, VR, and mobile. As you navigate through the Destiny Tower, you'll train to become a Guardian, embark on epic adventures, and connect with fellow Destiny 2 enthusiasts.

Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet also introduces a range of cosmetics inspired by the three Destiny classes: Hunter, Warlock, and Titan. You can now acquire the Hunter set and weapon skins, with the Titan and Warlock sets and weapons skins set to be released in the coming weeks.

Rec Room is a versatile online platform where users can create and share video games, rooms, and other content without any coding knowledge. It's available for free on Android, iOS, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox X, Xbox One, Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, and PC via Steam.
